What I’m Working on Now

  • Mapping the Opioid Crisis: How Geographic Data Informs Anesthesia and Public Health

Anesthesiology • Outcomes Research • Public Health

An outcomes-focused epidemiologic study investigating how regional differences in opioid-related deaths intersect with anesthesia and perioperative care. I’m exploring how public health data can inform clinical practice, opioid stewardship, and future perioperative strategies.

  • When the Youngest Are at Risk: Pediatric Firearm Mortality in the U.S.

Public health • Epidemiology • Policy

An epidemiologic analysis of pediatric firearm-related deaths from 1999–2020 using CDC WONDER. This project highlights rising trends in youth mortality and regional disparities, informing ongoing public health and policy conversations around firearm safety.

  • Aging and the Opioid Crisis: Disparities in Mortality Among Older Adults

Epidemiology • Geriatrics • Internal Medicine

A retrospective cohort study examining geographic and demographic trends in opioid-related deaths among adults aged 55 and older. This project supports my internal medicine interests by connecting aging, addiction, and rural health disparities through data-driven analysis.
